Marketing-oriented Insurance Site
(4 mo.)

This total redesign for a customer-facing insurance aggregator website involved working directly with the CIO and Marketing Director to deliver a targeted, customer-centric site that generates viable sales leads.
The first step was to bring some sensible organization to the collateral that was offered in the legacy site: Site Structure, Navigation, Layout, Information Architecture and Terminology.
We learned what the stakeholders wanted to accomplish, identified customer needs, and discovered what collateral and tools they had available.
The finished site reflected their corporate brand, seamlessly integrated their marketing collateral with self-service tools, and personalized the face of their business.

Challenges
The old bland, product-oriented legacy "brochureware" site did not satisfy the NIA's active marketing needs. It embodied poor visual design, an awkward hard-to-use structure, and the site's presentation and message did not reflect enterprise branding.
Solutions
- The makeover site is simpler & friendlier, offering attractive, personalized presentation and service-centric structure.
- We emphasized client outreach
- Brought the unique strengths of the business to the forefront
- Gave a friendly human "face" to the enterprise (the web style seamlessly leverages visual themes from the NIA's corporate stylesheet)
Heuristic Site Evaluation, Demo Site, CSS Style Guide, Wireframes, Sitemap, Information Architecture, Best Practices, Content Inventory, Personas (Profiles)

We provided full service solutions working in a self-directed environment, acheiving a remarkably quick turnaround - TCS delivered a completely new 70+ page site in less than 8 weeks.
Client very satisfied. In fact, they even nominated our work for an award...
“I have worked with many consultants over many years, however,
working with John has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences
I have ever had. We hired John to work with us in designing a
new corporate website, the experience and ability to work in a
difficult environment John brought with him provided us with a
site beyond our expectations. We are proud to say the NIA website
has been nominated for two awards. John would be a welcome asset
to any project demanding out of the boxing thinking regarding
graphical design or interface.”
Top qualities: Great Results, High Integrity, Creative
