Challenges

The focus of this project was on:

  • Capturing the workflow in documentation and in UI design
  • Improving usability and efficiency
  • Creating a "wite label" product that could be effectively distibuted to partners, re-branded and supported

Solutions

We worked closely with the Business side and in-house domain experts to produce a marketable solution.

Provided a clickable site model that conformed to the workflow, allowed stakeholders to sign-off on the experience, and served as design guide for the development team.

A styling theme that allows the Account Manager to focus on accomplishing a complex range of tasks without visual distraction.

Flexible information tagging so that the service could be customized for clients.

The biggest challenges: Capture requirements and workflow and deliver a working model website within an aggressive schedule. Biggest advantage: Strong operational support from the manager of User Experience, Colin Campbell, and coding support from Javascript Guru Ken Marx.

“John is a seasoned professional who applies his broad experience to complex information architecture problems. He is astute, a quick study, and adept at working effectively within situations of considerable ambiguity. His understanding of business processes and workflow make him a very valuable asset to software development teams and processes.”

Colin Campbell, Manager, User Experience, Standard & Poor's
